After the first album, the band lineup was changed by keeping only the original member Michaela Rose and replacing the two other girls with new members Jasmin Vetter and Sandra Lauer. After they split up in , Jasmin and Michaela continued on as the duo "Rouge", while Sandra Lauer started her own career as a solo artist, collaborating with Michael Cretu as Sandra and later as part of Enigma. Their next single, "Marigot Bay", would become their only Top Ten hit a few weeks later. Their last singles, "Ecstasy" and "Time to Say Goodbye", became hits only after their split, in various European countries, as they sounded very close to the Italo-disco sound, a very popular music genre on the European dance scene at that time. A chord legato is an essential skill for any pianist, no matter the level.
As you move from one chord to the next within a legato context, find points of connection in the hand to link. For example, to get from the first LH chord to the next, lift the fingers you cannot connect thumb and 5th while holding the 3rd finger and joining from that finger to the next chord.
This facilities smooth connections and tonal control — it is a knack that, once acquired, will become second nature to you. Here is a short extract from the video walkthrough: 2. Keep the LH chords close to the keyboard, the fingertips firm and somewhat active, the wrist loose but relatively still. RH semiquaver patterns are played using a drop-roll down-up movement generated from the upper arm, the arm and the wrist assisting the fingers.
Lateral adjustments lining up in the wrist keep us free and loose and help control finger articulation in the fast notes.
The first note of each RH group is the strongest, the last note light and short. Enjoy the contrasts in mood in this piece. A Canon is a type of music in which the melodic line is often repeated and imitated by other instruments or voices. Instruments are added one by one as the music progresses, creating echoing, and interweaving melodies.
This is an interesting song, because a lot of people like to listen to it when they are happy, but they also find comfort in listening to it when they are sad.
It seems to have a positive effect on people when they hear it. It is used sometimes in the area of music therapy. You can simply play the chords in the left hand while you play the melody in the right hand. This song challenges the beginner to learn the higher notes on the scale. The notes that go above the treble staff have ledger lines and you must learn the names of these notes and where they are found on the piano. Watch me show you how to play this song on YouTube.
